Sugar-Free Spiced Chai Protein Oats
Mmmmmm oatmeal. It sticks to your ribs, fills you up, and is the perfect hearty, warm breakfast to begin any morning with - especially the chilly winter days we get here in Montana. To add a spin to this classic breakfast treat, we love to add a few spoonfuls of our sugar-free Spice Chai Drink Mix. Sweetened with Stevia, this drink mix is perfectly sweet but totally sugar-free, so it won’t leave you feeling jittery first thing in the morning.
The chai powder adds a hint of sweetness, a hint of spice, and a totally unique flavor we’ve never tasted anywhere else. For added taste and nutrients, we love to garnish our finished bowls with chopped nuts, dried fruits, a drizzle of honey, and a splash of nut milk. Presto - breakfast perfection!
Follow these steps to make a bowl of your own:
Ingredients

⅓ cup organic rolled oats

2 large egg whites

⅔ cup water

Dash of salt

Dash of cinnamon

½ tsp vanilla extract
-
2 tbsp 5 Sparrows Spiced Chai

1 tsp chia seeds
-
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
-
½ diced honey crisp apple
Directions
- Combine oats, water, egg whites, chia seeds, and salt in a small sauce pan over low heat.
- Gently stir until oats and egg whites are cooked and fluffy. About 5 - 7 minutes.
- Add vanilla, cinnamon, 5 Sparrows Spiced Chai, and stir.
- Top with diced apple and drizzle of Peanut Butter. Enjoy!
